Peer Support is a course that asks you to demonstrate leadership and provide assistance to others in their coursework and school community. You will develop skills in communication, interpersonal relations, coaching, leadership, and teamwork, and apply them in roles such as tutoring and mentoring.
Your ability to work with others, be engaged the learning of others (as well as your own) is very important and will impact your ability to display leadership and provide peer support, under the guidance of Ms Bonardelli.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
explain how your personal characteristics and acquired skills may affect your interactions with others
identify and apply effective teaching and learning strategies to help others succeed
use strategies that promote positive interpersonal relationships
demonstrate the ability to design and implement a plan or program that addresses needs identified in the school or the community
